“The finest view in England” according to the vet and author, James Herriot, is fitting as you take in the Vale of Mowbray and the Vale of York from the Sutton Bank escarpment.

One Tramper is currently available to hire, Saturday and Sunday, at the visitor centre. 
The daily hire slot is at 11am.
The session lasts for 4 hours.
From February half term (Mon 21st February 2022) hire will be available each day. 


A popular route of approximately 2.5km/1.5 miles starting and finishing at the Sutton Bank National Park Centre, through a plantation and along a cliff top path with a viewing platform.

Members must be accompanied on the route by another person during the tramper hire session, due to limited or no mobile signal. 

All Tramper users must stay on the designated Tramper route path.
