Congratulations to The Wonderful Wild Woman, Sarah Gerrish, as she smashed the Bay Limestone Round this summer!
The Bay Limestone Round is a 55-mile trail-run with 13 summits and over 8000ft of ascent around Morecambe Bay. Sarah only went and set the new women’s record, completing the round in under 11 and half hours!
We are delighted and touched that Sarah used her effort to raise funds for both Lake District Mobility and for Cancer Care North Lancashire and South Cumbria. We are extremely grateful to her for the £570 she raised for us.
Fundraising and donations are important to us. They help us keep Lake District Mobility membership costs low. An annual membership, giving you year-long access not only to Trampers in the Lake District but with our partners at North York Moors and South west England too, only costs £10. We hope that by keeping our membership cost minimal, more and more families and friends are able enjoy the outdoors regardless of mobility challenges.
