We had some lovely feedback recently from Tramper user Barry, who visited our Trampers in the Lakes.
Barry used the Share Your Story page of our website to tell us how much he and his wife enjoyed their adventures.
He said: “I have been coming to the Lake District all my life. It’s been like a second home really.
“In the last ten years my Arthritis has become so bad I am unable to accompany my wife on even a walk around the shops let alone a walk in the hills or valleys. Touring about in our motorhome I came across www.lakedistrictmobility.org and the Tramper scheme so decided to give it a go.
“All I can say is Brilliant, brilliant, Brilliant!! My wife loves to walk so it was fantastic to be able to go off together once again. The Tramper is very easy to operate and the instructions from the super friendly staff excellent.
“I did wonder how comfortable it would be on rough ground but these Trampers are superb. Very relaxing and very comfortable and they feel very safe and stable. As a bonus, even in October we were lucky enough to get good weather on each day. I can’t thank Lake District Mobility enough for this brilliant scheme.”
