Dalby Forest

Booking time: 11am to 3pm

Distance: Ellerburn Red Trail 4.5km/2.8 miles, with a shorter option of 2.8km/1.7miles

Gradient: Mostly flat with some short and gentle uphill sections

Dalby Forest in North York Moors National Park provides a broad range of activities for all ages. These include various forest tracks for walkers, bikers and Segways, and Go Ape activities.

The site is operated by Forestry England and offers a good range of facilities for visitors, including ample parking, café, shop, toilets and information for visitors.

 

The Tramper route follows the existing Ellerburn Red trail, exploring native woodland and meadows along Thornton Dale. Tramper visitors can choose between a longer and shorter route.

Members must be accompanied on the route by another person during the Tramper hire session, due to limited or no mobile signal. 

All Tramper users must stay on the designated Tramper route paths.
